Hanukah - Lo Pigyonim - חנוכה - לא פגיונים

This fast paced song composed by Rabbi David Bouzaglo has the same tune to Lo HaKochot which he composed after Israel's victory in the Six Day War (to be recorded at a later time). It's a catchy song that can be learned with some review. This tune goes very well with Rau Banim. The maqam is Sahli.

Hanukah - Am Neemanai - חנוכה עם נאמני

In this classic song composed by Rabbi David Bouzaglo z"l, you now have a different song option in addition to Maoz Tsur. It's easy to learn so give it a try. I like using this tune on Shabbat Hanukah for: Lecha Dodi Rau Banim The maqam is Zidane.

Hanukah - Eli Aromemenhu w/Kadish - חנוכה אלי ארוממנהו עם קדיש

This Moroccan Hanukah song is sang to the tune of E'eroch shir tehila, which is sung whenever there is a Berit Mila. I believe the reason R' David Bouzaglo composed words to this tune was because the Greeks decried any alteration of the human body and decreed that any form of circumcision would be prohibited. So many years later, the Greeks are gone and we're still around performing the ultimate covenant of God. Following the piyut, I sing the Kadish using the same tune. I would normally sing this Kadish for Friday night on ליל שבת. After that I would switch into the traditional Maoz Tsur. Although they are totally different maqamim, the congregation is eager to hear Maoz Tsur so I sing the latter half of the Kadish in that melody. The maqam of this song is maqam Hijaz.

Hanukah #1 - Blessings - חנוכה #1 ברכות

In honour of the 1st day of Hanukah, here is the recital of the blessings (including Shehecheyanu), Hanerot Halalu and Mizmor Shir Hanukat HaBayit LeDavid. Hanukah Sameah!

Hallel complete - הלל שלם

In this recording I sing the complete Hallel using the following tunes: Ma Ashiv - Maoz Tsur (mzmoum) Halelu - LeDavid shir Umizmor (sahli) Min Hametzar - traditional (sahli) Pithu Li - Am Neemanai Many Moroccan Jews sing the Ma Ashiv to the tune of Maoz tsur all year around. So you can use this Hallel as your go-to and just change the tune of Pithu Li, since Am Neemanai is specific to Hanukah.

Haftara Hanukah - הפטרת חנוכה

Given the holiday of Hanukah, even the Spanish Moroccan Jews have the custom to sing the Haftara in the French tune. Here it is for your listening/studying pleasure.  Hag Hanukah Sameah!
