Pesuke Dezimra (shabbat) part 1 - פסוקי דזמרה (שבת) חלק א

Here are the first set of Pesuke DeZimra on Shabbat which begins with למנצח מזמור לדוד after Hashem Melech until Hallel HaGadol - הודו לה׳ כי טוב. Yigdal which follows Hodu, can be sung in many tunes, but the Spanish Moroccans sing the same tune each week. I did not include it in this recording as I will record it at a later time.

Habibi Yah Habibi - חביבי יה חביבי

This song originates from the Middle East and is sung by all sects of Sephardic Judaism. In fact, thanks to the musician Yossi Piamenta z"l, aka the Jewish Jimmy Hendrix, this song became known even amongst the Ashkenazim. It has a classic middle eastern melody and is sung on all happy occasions. The maqam is kurd .

Ya'alat Hen - יעלת חן

This piyut is usually sung for the bride or a zeved habat/fadas (naming of baby girl) but its source is the Bakashot for Parashat Toledot. It's usually followed up with the piyut Shochant BaSade which I will record at a later time.
